Eric graduated from Penn State's Dickinson School of Law in 2002.  While in law school, Eric was a senior staff member of the Penn State International Law Review and a member of the Federalist Society and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.  During law school Eric worked at the Pennsylvania Governor's Office of General Counsel, in the legal department of American Education Services and for a former president of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, Attorney David L. Lutz, at the law firm of Angino & Rovner. Eric was admitted to practice in North Carolina in 2002 and in New York in 2008.

Eric graduated from Northern High School in Durham, North Carolina.  Eric's undergraduate education is in nursing.  Eric has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University.  Eric has diverse experience in health care and has been licensed to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Hawaii and California.

After law school, Eric took a break from the law and took up surfing and travel nursing.  Eric then performed pro bono work for and was employed by the Fayetteville Office of Legal Aid of North Carolina in the areas of consumer law, housing law, tenant/landlord law and bankruptcy. Eric then moved to New York and practiced at the The Ziff Law Firm, LLP in the areas of New York Workers' Compensation and Social Security Disability and was a regular contributor to the New York Injury Law Blog.  Having strong ties to the Fayetteville area, Eric returned to Fayetteville to open his own practice.

Eric is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and Cumberland County Bar Association.
